Thorlos Men's lite padded running socks constructed with thor wick cool fibers for superior moisture-wicking for drier, cooler feet. Cushioned arch gives a better fit, more support and more comfort. Padding in the ball and heel absorbs shock and is specifically engineered for protection and comfort while running. Specifically engineered for men to provide better protection from blisters, foot pain or discomfort.
I tried to use this over support hose to cushion my feet. However, too thick, added too much within the shoe. This created abnormal (for me) pressure over ankle skin previously broken down by venous overload as venous ulcers (both ankles). Since uncomfortable and indicating this pressure, I could not use them. They are obviously made quite well, very durable and I am disappointed that I can't use them.Maybe I received a bad pair, but after several months the cuff stretch out to an unacceptable degree. I've purchased this exact sock 3 times and this is the only time it has happened. I might give them 1 more try, but I'll look around before then. Other than that the socks are durable and long lasting and fit true to size when using their size recommendation chart.Update 5/16/20: I did give this sock another try. I'm satisfied with my latest purchase. I've changed my rating from 2 stars to 4 stars.Light weight, great fit and cushion for my use to workout at my local YMCA!I work from home and have to use a foot pedal daily while transcribing dictation. It is agony sometimes having to touch the foot pedal with my swollen, painful, tender feet. These socks are so soft and cushioned in the heel and in the part of your foot right under your toes and today was the first day I could use the pedal without horrible pain. Thank you, Thorlos brand!! Will be buying more of these socks.Good cushion, but hot for summer runs. I think it’s a good sock for fall o winter. My wife has worn Thorlo socks for a log time and I never could understand why she spent so much extra for them. That is, until I bought my first pair. Within days I ordered seven more because they are, by far, the most comfortable socks I've ever worn. The Lite Running style has the padding exactly where I want it -- the toes and heel area -- without adding bulk where I don't need the padding. I'm now going to try the men's dress socks (my wife also ordered a pair of women's dress socks to try). Thorlo's web site will send you a pair to try for $6 shipping, so that's a great way to experience the socks for the first time at minimal cost. Read the reviews. These socks seem to last forever.I Have worn Thorlos for years and have found them the most comfortable socks I have ever worn. The padding is just right and the socks last for a long time. I have a foot problem and they are perfect for me. I highly recommend them.I like these socks as well as the regular Thorlo mini-crew socks. It has good cushioning for mu extra wide feet and low arches. The lite version socks are not as bulky as the regular version but I like them both. I also use the lite version with my light weight running shoes when I run weekend 5K races and my feet feel a bit lighter than my shoes I use on regular training runs. I have used Thorlo socks for many years and have not found anything better so far.I bought these socks to help alleviate some discomfort on the ball of my left foot, caused primarily by cycling. As people age they tend to lose the fat padding on the soles of their feet and I think that, being in my latter fifties, this is what has happened to me. Traditional cycling socks are quite thin and do nothing to aid my comfort. All the best reviews took me to Thorlos, Although the company does make socks for cleated sports, I did not notice any for sale on Amazon; therefore, I bought the ones for running. As soon as I took them out of their packaging, I could feel they were much superior in quality to any sports sock I had bought in the past forty years. I am pleased I opted for the 'lite' padded ones, since the cushioning is quite generous. (I imagine you would require larger shoes for the normal ones.) I bought the large size to accommodate my UK 11 (EU 46) feet and they fit perfectly. What I did not like is that the ankle socks turned out to be hardly any longer than the lowcut socks; next time I will buy the quarter socks. After 150 miles on my bike I can unequivocally say that they have improved my comfort and I shall be purchasing more of them - for hiking alsol. For those suffering from hotspot when cycling in cleats I suggest that (as well as getting good socks) your cleats are not too far forward and you invest in stiff carbon-soled shoes to spread the load.I have a pair of these already from about 15 years ago* and they are extremely comfortable, breathable running socks that don't make your feet sweat. When I recently took up running I realised I'd need another pair and was happy to see the same design still being produced by Thorlos.Sure, they may be a bit expensive compared to some other running socks, but you only have one pair of feet right? (I hope you say yes to this question, else I'll be worried).(* Disclaimer - I used to be one of those guys who only sporadically used his gym membership, hence why they lasted so long. Your mileage may vary!).Probably the best running/walking socks on the market.....definitely my favourites. Very comfortable and soft, keep feet dry from sweat and after many miles still looks like newBeware these are the low cut version which I bought by accident. Not as good as the one's that cover your ankle. Fortunately the returns procedure was excellent and I received a credit within a few days. Might suit some but not for me.Have been alternating various socks now, and these even beat the Balega V-tech socks for comfort. They are not cheap but they really do what it says on the tin.definitely buying more
