I’ve ordered these socks for years. The quality has gone down. The size is now larger than usual, so now my heel has extra cloth and slips a bit. The stitching isn’t as good as it once was. I ordered several pairs to replace my old socks and wish I would have gone with a different brand. These are decent running socks and I very much appreciate how cool they keep my feet. They aren't exceptionally plush; the biggest drawback is that I found them to be a bit snug. They can be difficult to get on, and once I've been running in them, I'm usually ready to take them off as they feel slightly tight. They have been durable, and I would recommend them if they are correctly sized for your feet.I purchased these socks to use on a trip to the rainforests in Panama. They are well made and durable, and they kept my feet cool and dry despite hot and humid weather. I've marked down to 4 stars because the size should have fit someone with a feet a full size larger than me, but they were fairly snug on me. The elastic around the top started to dig into my shins after a day of wearing, not super uncomfortable but not pleasant either. As a reference I usually wear an 11 shoe and I bought the larges which should fit to a 12. I will probably purchase more of these in the future, albeit in the larger size. Also, I haven't had any issues with the pilling that others have mentioned, they've been washed many times now and look new.The description of this item is a bit misleading in my opinion. When they say "2 pack" they actually mean 2 socks per pack, NOT 2 pairs which is what I was expecting. I mean, why would anyone sell or buy just a single sock? That's kind of stupid and I don't think anyone could fault me for thinking that way. So instead of spending what I thought was a reasonable amount of money for 14 pairs, I actually paid a ridiculous amount of money for only 7 pairs. Maybe consider removing the "2 pack" part of the description and replace that with "single pair" or something.I am very satisfied with the Wigwam Men's Cool Lite HIKER PRO, either in crew length or quarter length socks. I also wanted crew length socks in gray. Amazon only had stock available in these Wigwam Men's Cool-Lite PRO (notice: not HIKER PRO) Crew Sock. The HIKER family is well padded and fit my 11 shoe size foot perfectly in size Large. The PRO is specified for "Run-Court-Fitness." The PRO has less padding and is much too long in the toe area. Also, size Large. Be cautious of which type of Wigwam sock you order. HIKER PRO or just PRO.These are my favorite socks, and they (originally Ultimax, now Wigwam) were getting hard to find in stores in our area, so I was glad to find them on Amazon. Since I knew the size I wanted, I had no hesitancy ordering them through the mail. One thing I love about the socks is that they always stay up; a side-effect is that they are a little tight at the top, but I can put up with that.I ordered x large because I have feet that big. The top of the sock is barely big enough to fit my foot into making it hard to put the socks on. They are ok once you get them on. But too hard to put them on and I avoid them unless they are the only ones cleanI bought these socks because customer service at Wigwam, the maker, said that they were the closest match to the "Ironman" Wigwam socks I bought some years ago and like very much. The foot of the the new model is about the same, but the leg is snugger than I like...However, if the new wear as well as the old ones, I may buy again.I had three pair, already--and I just bought more. I wear size 9-9.5 shoes, depending on brand, and I've always had a problem with most socks being too long in the foot, but with these Wigwams, I order the Medium and the socks fit like a glove, right off the bat. Added attractions: they stay up, and they last, and last and last--and still fit beautifully.I wish Wigwam made this model in a wider range of (solid, please) colours.
