Super comfortable, no problem with sagging, wool not itchy and would definitely buy againThank you a good product and worth buyinglove these socks.Very nice socks. If you are serious about going for longer hikes, then you really need to invest in high end wool-blend socks. I've worn these Thorlos Padded socks on several hikes of varying lengths and have had no issues with wear or blistering to my feet. I've worn other brands of hiking socks that are more padded and allow my feet to breath even better than these. However, those pairs were also more expensive than the Thorlos. I generally use those socks on my longer hikes and use my Thorlos for my shorter length hikes (2-5 miles). Hiking in Arizona desert mountains, I have never had an issue with excessive sweat build up, so that feature is a must in this climate. The sizing is just right for me. I'm a size 10 boot and these large size socks fit perfectly. They aren't super tight, but not too big, which can lead to issues with bunching in the boot. I've worn this pair several times on several hikes and they have gone through multiple washings, yet still feel as padded as day one. Overall, a great pair of socks and a must buy, especially if you are a regular hiker/outdoorsy type.I got these for me but my calves are too big so I gave them to my husband who has really skinny ones (I know it's not fair, right?). He goes for 2-hour walks so clearly he needs warm socks. These do the trick and he likes them. I had bought him crazy expensive Merino wool socks for Christmas that he adores and are his favorite. But these he likes as well. I have machine washed them several times and they hold up well. The only thing I didn't like was how the insides are finished. I worry that eventually those threads will unravel and for $21 I would expect a little better finishing. The places where they are padded are just right and really help to keep him comfortable on long walks. They fit just right on him so there aren't any places that could apply pressure on the foot and cause soreness. .Good:They are very warmThey wash wellThey look niceNot so good:The price is very high for one pair of socksThe inside finishing is not very good for a high-priced sockI struggle with plantar fasciitis, but I also prefer to work at a standing desk. So, I'm always looking for a combination of socks and shoes that work well to accommodate the multiple needs - while also keeping my feet warm in the winter.I must say that I really do love this particular pair of socks. As far as socks go, they are wonderfully soft and warm. They also fit comfortably from toe to top without bunching or slipping. Then there is the comfort for standing or for light activity, and they also win in that category. The cushioning and support is in just the right places, yet they are not too bulky and fit well in a variety of shoe types. But, keep in mind that you will pay for those benefits! So, while I love the fit, the price will keep them from going on my regular shopping list.I realize the size is "small" but even for small socks, these are small. I can wear them by giving them a good stretch though and they are warm and comfortable. I expected them to be thicker since they are supposed to have "impact protection" but they aren't too thick (that is not to say that they lack warmth in any way). They fit in all my shoes and boots & there truly is no seam to rub the toes.I definitely recommend the purchase of these socks and not just for "outdoor travel"; they are good socks to keep your toes warm on winter evenings at home too.I have several pairs now, they are always comfortable. Hopefully they will be long lasting, so far they're wearing well.
